Family & Flowers

Hello! A few weekends back, Pip and I drove out the Surrey (the county just west of London) to spend the day with his dad's family & celebrate his uncle's birthday. We all went out for for Spanish tapas and it was lovely to spend time with everyone, including Pip's 93 year old grandmother, Betty!

Anywho! A few days ago, Pippy & I spent a lovely afternoon in Greenwich park feeding cute animals and drinking cappuccino. We eventually stumbled upon the park's beautiful rose garden, and luckily I had brought along my Nikon and was able to get some nice pictures of it all! The squirrels in Greenwich park are so curious and playful. We had loads of fun feeding them peanuts and making friends with them! ;D

I was going absolutely crazy over all the roses- I felt like I was in some kind of Alice in Wonderland-esque fairytale land! I can't wait to go back there and do some proper photoshoots! Here's just a small sample of how pretty it was...

Without You

Hello all! I've been to America and back between my last post and now, so as you can imagine I have a lot of photos and memories to share. However, I'm going to wait on that for the moment and just leave you with a few words about what's been on my mind lately.

My life has been a roller coaster these past few years- trying to split my life and love between two continents has been very intense to say the least. It has made me question everything & made me completely reevaluate what is important, and I've quickly realized that the people in my life are basically the only thing that really matters. My boyfriend, my family, my best friends back home- I am so happy to have them but this constant distance one way or another seems to always be tugging at my heart. I feel as though my life keeps getting more and more complicated by the minute and I just wish for a second it would all slow down! I guess that's just how it goes though.

Meeting Dita Von Teese!

Hello! This post is very belated as this exciting event actually happened back on the first of May, but I got to meet the wonderful Dita Von Teese! She was in London hosting a launch party for her new perfume at Liberty, and anyone who purchased a bottle was able to meet the fabulous burlesque queen herself. Pip and I went & met up with my friend Tasha, along her friends Katy & Reem. We all had such a lovely time at the event and of course meeting Dita was amazing. She is such an inspiration and her level of class & elegance is enough to leave anyone completely speechless!

And finally, meeting Dita! She was so sweet & soft spoken. As soon as I walked up she said "I love your hair! I saw you all the way from my car when we pulled up!" ^__^

And here is the perfume and my autograph. The scent is so elegant and sophisticated! It's much less sweet & sugary than my usual perfume taste, but I really like it and it makes me feel so fancy! ;D

Overall it was a fabulous experience and we all had a lovely time at the event! I can't even remember how many times we were approached by press and various bloggers for photos & interviews which was a lot of fun. I'm still constantly finding our photos popping up all over the internet! Tasha, Reem, & I even have our photo featured on Dita's official perfume website (http://parfum.dita.net/) now which is very exciting! Yay! Here it is...

Anywho! I hope everyone has had a good summer so far. Unfortunately the weather in London is horrendous and I still have to wear my winter coat every time I step outside...but the good news is I'm flying home to Atlanta this Thursday and I'll be staying there for nearly six weeks! So excited for the warm weather! My sister and her boyfriend were recently here visiting for two weeks so I have some fun photos and stories to share from our adventures during their stay, but it'll have to wait momentarily because I still have loads of packing to do for my trip. More soon...
